Malabareando las Calles

The situation
Malabareando las Calles has worked since 2017 with children and young people living on the street in Pereira. Its method is not charity: it is art and sport as a way to hold on to a relationship. Theater, music, dance, juggling, yoga and physical activity, sustained over time until the bond holds.
That work happened at La Casa de los Sueños, its center. Kids came there to eat, to shower, to rehearse and to study. The earthquake destroyed it.
Without a center the program doesn't vanish, but it turns fragile: sessions move to the street, the safe place is gone, and the routine that holds up the kids who were already leaving the street breaks.
The foundation currently has 65 families to reach, many of them with babies and small children. Food parcels and hygiene supplies are the most urgent need; nappies are wanted in sizes 3 through 6.
